end of summer

Had to squeak a post in before school starts tomorrow.  SOOOO, it's all over but i feel like we ended summer with a bang.  lots of beach, hiking, swimming and playing.  my car was beyond trashed until Saturday morning when i cleaned it out and took her up to the hand wash for a serious cleaning. 

simon is still in full super hero mode. In fact, he was eating at rachels house with the spiderman mask on his face and she saw him try to put something in his mouth but it was covered and he said to himself out loud, "Ugh, i always forget that" and then lifted up his mask so he could actually get the food to his mouth. hahahah.  also, he knocked on summers do and brandon said, "who is it?" and simon said, "it's Si--, i mean, It's Spiderman."  He is legit. 

PENNY is going to Kindergarten tomorrow. We have taken away the TV and it was the best thing i could have ever done. our wall in the hallway is full to the brim with drawings and they finally figured out how to play in long stretches without fighting.  when that long stretch is done, they go at it real good, but overall, MUCH less fighting. yahoo!

sophie helped owen get ready for school tonight.  Owen has been with baylen for 2 days straight, went to a galaxy soccer game and held the flag on the field with baylens soccer team during the national anthem, then slept over and went to church with them and then went to a little fireside with baylens.

When i picked him up at like 8 last night they were still jumping and playing in the night sky. love that johnson clan. 

anyway, we got home and sophie helped him pick out clothes and told him exactly what to do when he gets to school. we lost his lock a couple of time over the past 2 weeks and then luckily found it late last night. i realized one of the most hilarious things he says these days is CRAP TON.  Like, he ate a CRAP TON of lucky charms this morning. 

and sophie is just awesome. it's gonna be a good year for that girl.  she got 3 call backs for solos for their first choir show.  She's totally freaking out but it's gonna fabulous!
