joan jett!

We had a great fun primary party today then went to all the way down into LA for a bday party for one of penny's little preschool friends (i grabbed chick fil a on the way home -- only thing to get you through hollywood traffic)  Simon crashed on one of the benches in the kitchen nook, owen and penny are fighting over my phone because we totally got rid of the TV last week.  soooo glad that's working out.  haha!

otherwise, sophie left today with 2 friends on a road trip to utah so they can go to EFY next week, owen is dying to see despicable me 2 today and doug wants to go to TWO BOOTS pizza with friends tonight but our babysitter just took a road trip to Utah. hmmmm.

I have to post this video.  while we were setting up the primary party this morning, simon and owen were down by this little river that goes through the park and simon came back crying because his toe was bleeding.  this is his explanation of what happened while doug was fixing up his toe.

 OH!!! and Penny learned to SWIM this week!!!

And Owen performed at the Food Truck Friday on Magnolia last night with his guitar class.  They played along with Back in Black by ACDC and I love Rock and Roll by Joan Jett and the Black Hearts

We had a great time listening to all the kids and then eating potato and zucchini tornados and then hitting rocket fizz for yummy treats.  Check out his teacher in the middle.  He's so awesome! Also Owen's leg up in the photo down below is totally his version of ROCKSTAR! haha i love that kid.
