The Chamberlain Family Historical Society: birthday weekend

Oh so i turned 38 this year. just last month, actually, and i couldn't have had a better birthday. On the actual day, sophie babysat from 10-4 and Doug and i took off and went to hermosa beach together. it took like an hour to park but then we walked down and had NY pizza, which was delicious, browsed the little beach shops, laid on a windy beach without kids and watched the surfers ride the waves into shore. we rented boogie boards and beach cruiser bikes, doug took photos off the pier and we had tacos and an ice cream sandwich before we headed home.

Then we came home, doug took the kids and got dinner and took them to the park to play while i cleaned up the house and then we had a babysitter come while we went to the movies, we saw Star Trek and love it. I told you it was awesome!! hahaha seriously, i was barely in my house that day.

I took the babysitter home and stopped at aroma and picked up chocolate cake and a blueberry pie something and we watched Anchorman and ate more crap until like 2 in the morning.

100% Gluttonous.

Then on monday, Sarah, Alli, Rachel and i went to Tender Greens and then saw THE HEAT. we cackled through the entire thing. SO much fun.

then we hit Cafe 101 for a Waffle Brownie Sundae and some fries. Oh my gosh, perfection. Oh and they gave me gorgeous madewell bracelets and a scarf, all of which i wore through the entire evening, like the birthday queen, that I am. :)

Then on TUESDAY I got to see my Encino Girls!! Even Renee who happened to be in town. We went to CLEO in hollywood and ate til we were stuffed. STUFFED so good. the lamb, my goodness.

ANYWAY, this is a super obnoxious post but it was a good bday. mom's don't always get awesome bdays, right? mostly, they are just like every other day. so i'll savor this number 38 all the way until next year.
