Doug has been in Austin this week at the SXSW festival. He gets back tonight.  sounds like he's had a great time...there was a screening for maladies today and i have yet to hear how it goes.  i have been seeing the director CARTER on interviews and doing press. sometimes doug is there, sometimes not.  I wanted to go with him this time as i have never been to AUSTIN!!!  someday....

there is one more photo that i LOVE but i can't find it posted anywhere on Facebook.  maybe it was instagram?  grrr.  i shall find and update.  i'm sure you're all on the edge of your seat.

somebody's review of the movie. i don't really know what its saying haha

anyway. i also finally wrangled his 40th birthday photos out of his cold dead hands viewbook.

we went to Susan Feniger's STREET Restaurant in Hollywood.  We didn't know at the time that Ben Feldman's (from departure date...oh and mad men, too) aunt is Susan Feniger of Susan Feniger's STREET restaurant in hollywood.  muy interesante... maybe we could have gotten a free appetizer.  haha

Then we went to the movies afterward. it was a great time.

Now that I have been through a 40th birthday, I know two things.  1) if at all possible, TRAVEL.  don't be home on your bday 2) if you can't travel then celebrate all week long. every day, every little thing make it a celebration.  don't put the pressure on one big party to be the end all be all.  you probably don't have enough money to throw that party.  i know we didn't.  ha!

anyway, those are my two cents for all you youngsters out there.  you're welcome. 

p.s. i just noticed that doug is friends with Aggy Deyn on Facebook.  Agyness Deyn the model???  i think i remember them working on something with james together. hahaha that's kinda awesome.
