the actual day

Today is the real deal for ms. penny! she's 5!!

too old, makes me cry haha.

actually i went to owen's middle school orientation night last week and the 7th grade choir performed and, i kid you not, i could barely keep it together because i had just seen GROWN UP sophie perform a few days before and it's just too sad that everyone is getting big and will some day leave me.  I still have a full 15 years before simon leaves the house so i'm not sure why i'm blubbering about this all the time.  anyway, sophie's too big, owen's too big as he goes to middle school next year and Penny is DEFINITELY too big as she turns 5 today.  ugh...

anyway, penny is one of a kind.  she is all kinds of crazy and all kinds of awesome at the same time.  and i can't wait to see who she becomes.  i mean... i can, but i can't.  she's going to do big things, i can feel it!  Nobody that sassy will be satisfied with less. hahaha
