Simon's big day

I love that simon's name always sounds like a book character.

Yesterday, Simon turned FOUR.  I CAN'T GET OVER THIS.

Sophie went to a YW/YM stake Water skiing trip so she missed the whole thing and Owen went to tennis with Ethan and then hung out at his house until the madness ended.  So it was little kids all day long.

We decided to do a (SURPRISE) Superhero themed party.  We rented a giganto justice league bounce house and put sprinklers on the trampoline and invited a bunch of kids over to play.  max from down the street, seven and phoenix and india, phil heder, abram,  riley from a few houses up and, of course, the swierengas!

We also got a little visit from our friends Marni and Vince. They are new in burbank and we got to meet their little girl vivian.  so much fun. talk and chatter and playing all day.  they picked up the bouncy at 6 and simon was so sad.  it was a busy awesome day start to finish. and it was so hot!!!

these photos seriously highlight how ghetto our backyard is.....oh well. someday!

After we cleaned up the house and put very tired kids to sleep, doug and i wandered home depot together.  getting random house supplies, like a filter for a poor struggling AC.  then hit kuru kuru sushi right before it closed.  great great day.
