yesterday, our friend, Whit, told us that we have a sitcom house.  That made me happy.  Like the kind of place feel comfortable to swing by.  Dont think it's always been like that but our house is evolving, we are evolving.

Cj and Jessica came to town wednesday and it was SO much fun to have them hanging in our hood. One day we will be forever neighbors, i can feel it.

penny and Ida and simon were inseperable.  up super late and playing all day.  the first night we were chatting it up at the circle table and suddenly we realize that we can hear them jumping and shouting on the trampoline jsut out in the back.  it was like 12:15am .  ha! our poor neighbors probably wanted to shoot us.

Owen has been at a day camp all week so he and Eli only got to play video games and War together at night when everyone was super sleepy

Trader Joes Cheetos Coma

Ever since ive known jess she would ask for a nail file while visiting my house.  for years i was lame and didn't have one becasue my nails constatntly look like i'm homeless.  so, of course i didn't have a nail file until i started buying them before she came to visit.  and guess what??  she needed a nail file.

Jessica and I went out shopping together one afternoon, and i'll tell you, is there ANYTHING more fun than shopping with girlfriends and NO KIDS?! i don't think there is.  I exchanged a shirt and jessica, who was primed and ready for a summer shopping trip tried on everything in the sale section at jcrew.  it was so fun.  she totally scored on their 40% off final sale items. (ps. the pasadena location has the biggest sale section of them all. cuz you all needed that essential information in your life. )

anyway, it was fantastic. then went over to tiffany's to return her 40th birthday ring that wasn't quite right.  she found beautiful ring and earrings to replace it and the sales guy was really fun. we were a titch giddy in there.

Anyway, so cj and doug took the kids swimming while we were gone and then we all met up at home went out to sushi and the arclight for a double date that night.  We saw the Way Way Back and i loved it.  Steve Carell was surpisingly fun to hate! :))




Doug and i went to the temple this morning, got some stan's donuts before our session.  it was fun being alone
