soooo, doug's back

we're all super happy about that.  Although, having kids in school everyday makes his travels waaaaay easier.  way.

I went to a movie on saturday just to get out but i wasn't dying.  that's pretty good for 2 weeks alone.

otherwise, we put up the decor including an 8 foot tree that i dragged in and put in it's stand all by myself (ok, sophie helped a little) put on the lights and then took off the lights because they looked too messy, watched a youtube video on how to put lights on a tree and then put the lights back on the tree.  then i put on the ornaments and then two nights later it fell over while we were sleeping.  I guess i DO need doug sometimes.  :)

We also went to sophie's holiday concert, which was awesome, our church christmas party where penny and simon were too scared to sit on santas lap so i sat on his lap with them (only a teensy awkward) and then after we walked away they mustered the courage to talk to him by themselves.  penny told santa she wants a dream light and simon told Santa that he loved him..

we also went to a menchie's party with a balloon guy that did the most incredible balloons! A mermaid for Penny with balloon shell bra and a super cool pirate for simon.

Random photo from the other day when my neighbor rachel dropped a sheet of glass from a frame onto her toe.  lots of blood and then we looked down and saw this stark attack in her tub. hahaha.
 we thought it was funny!

this is 2 PB cups and they're a half pound each!! WHAT?!
