oh, hello again

Summer is coming to an end for the big kids.  Next monday is the first day of school and I have been erranding all week to get ready.

lunches, lunches, clothes and lunches.

Ordered 3 Pack It lunch boxes from amazon and bought a bunch of deli style containers from Smart and Final to start Sophie on the right foot. (she only wants brown bags to toss after lunch... baby steps).

I've also been perusing pinterest for the best lunch ideas because this year is NOT going to be like last year, so help me.  haha

Let it be known that I am dreading seminary and the inevitable overwhelming tired that comes along with waking at 5 and staying up till 11. Although I feel so strongly about the importance of seminary I am certain my body will adjust.  probably.

Babies will both go to preschool in September.  BOTH of them from 9-12:30 everyday.  I could cry just thinking about it.

Oh, and I finally started potty training simon today. wish us luck.

that is all for now.  Excuse me while I go melt in the sauna that is my home.

p.s. i loaf the olympics

  1. do you make sophie and owen's lunches? maybe you should have them make it (and they can help you make the grocery list), then it's all in their hands and if they complain well they're the ones who picked/made the list. i feel like i'm even trying to do that w/ tyler to give him ownership over what he eats. ah, school lunch... good times and it's all starting over again!!

I'm glad you're back in town, we wanna play with you guys.

  2. Do it! Start now with Tyler. High School is so busy that i feel like i missed her window. I'd feel kinda bad throwing that at her too. Although, I'm definitely having her help with the grocery list. And it's not too late for the others... Watch out Simon, you're gonna be making your own lunch by september!

YES let's play. SOON! maybe we can come up one morning next week?

  3. well you are a nice mom b/c my mom always made us pack our own lunches but we told her what we wanted to buy/helped w/ the list. it has been good w/ tyler and even audrey already. even sitting down during dinner and asking them what they want for dinner this week and having each of them contribute to the menu. but i never had to go to seminary, so that's pretty tough in the am. maybe pack the night before.
