late fathers day

yup.  fathers day was a few days ago.  doug worked most of the day so it was easy cheesy if a little boring for us.

big cheer for all the great dads out there, especially my dad and my kids dad.  (that was a weird sentence.)

you get the idea.

today simon said that daddy was silly. when i asked him if i was silly he said no.

then penny chimed in and said that she thought i was silly and daddy wasn't silly, because it's different for her.

my kids have been talking about missing grandpa charlie since he left like three weeks ago!  we love love love him. Penny wrote a note to my dad and it said that he was handsome and very funny

I was thinking about Doug's dad on Sunday as well. We miss him a lot. he was super silly.  penny and simon would have loved him too!

I feel so lucky to be surrounded by good men.  If my boys end up anything like their dad and grandpas, i'll be one happy mama

p.s. this is how i found simon when i came to pick him up from nursery on sunday.  that silly thing may be genetic.
