Saturday was an evil reminder that it's going to get hot and my grey cords are NOT going to cut it.
Sophie was trying to help me find something to wear to the Easter dinner and, after digging in my closet for a few mintues, declared that i seriously need to go shopping.
i have two jean shorts cut offs that i absolutely hate and have SWORN never to wear again. and then it gets hot and i put them back on. i hate them so much but i don't have anything to replace them with. grrrr.
so keep your eyeballs out. you're all probably shopping for summer already and i'm just behind. send along any ideas!! midi skirts? maxi dresses? totally awesome jean shorts?
Not sure these are totally awesome but they are at the GAP and 25% off the next 2 days. actually the whole online store is 25% off the next two days, i'll should go back and check skirts. These may clash with my pasty white legs. :)

I have been wearing shorts for the last 3 weeks and have been on the hunt realizing I will be in nothing but shorts for the next 5 months. I bought 2 prs of the boyfriend roll up shorts at GAP in yellow and coral. They aren't the most flattering short, but they are comfy and I don't feel like I look like the typical haggard stay at home mom in a t shirt and shorts.
ReplyDeleteI have been stalking these at Jcrew. http://www.jcrew.com/womens_category/shorts/chinocotton/PRDOVR~63596/63596.jsp I have been to the store almost weekly the last 5 weeks to see if they have them on promo (they usually have their shorts for 29 bucks at some point). No luck, but the colors are starting to sell out. I love the aqua and purple.
They have tons of cute colors in the 9 inch inseam, but I like the 10 inch better.

Oh! Are the boyfriend roll ups long enough? Maybe not rolled? You are a good one for this, Sara, because you have great taste and are a deal finder! Keep me posted!:)

Yes, rolled down for the boyfriend shorts. 2 of the colors at jcrew went on sale this morning I noticed. The pink is pretty bright IRL..I think. Maybe tomorrow they will be in sale in store??

ReplyDeleteOld navy has a good selection of summer clothes right now, and cheap! I just bought a couple dresses, which of course require undershirts (downeastbasics.com). They have a lot of shorts and roll up cargos too.
