Simon has decided that he is a kitty cat...or a puppy, whichever feels good at that moment. He likes to meow and ruff.  He likes you to pet him and say what a good kitty/puppy he is.  Penny LOVES this.  It's like their favorite game.  He is the first one of all of our kids to do this.  Have any of your kiddos gone through this phase? I think it's pretty cute.  maybe if he decides he only wants to eat from bowls on the floor i won't think it's so cute.

Owen handed me an envelope on Monday morning on his way to school and said, "It's a big complement just to be invited, but you had to turn it in today and i don't want to do it."

Well, IT turns out to be a Math Team for the city. If i would have signed the paper he would have been tested to see if he qualified for the team that would practice every thursday for 3 months and then compete on an LA city level and then a regional level.  He was smart to not show it to me until the last minute because i totally would have tried to talk him into it!! oh, well. Doug thought it sounded really boring. haha. He was probably right as one of the highlights was that participants were invited to attend a City council meeting or something.  crap, i cant remember but it was funny.  Maybe next year i can bribe him.

Here are the only photos that i have from thanksgiving. my phone was not with me and doug must have been too busy with the turkey.

The line at Portos where we get our pies.  best apple pie ever.  they have a million people working so it looks worse than it was.  according to doug, whom we nominated to fight the crowd.

Totally pulled off Thanksgiving together.
Can you tell we are neighbors with our matching hair?
Hate to say it but we maybe hitting borderline sister wife length. haha.
BEFORE!
Doug's gorgeous carving job AFTER!

  4. Jake pretended to be a dog all the time. He was the most obedient dog I know. He would do any dog trick for us (sit, roll-over, fetch, etc.) and we would give him smarties. He was my kid that didn't want to potty train, but if I asked the doggy to go to the toilet he would do it willingly. Weird kid.
