Polk-a-lots, Protestors and a Birthday

Its Friday, yo.  I feel like I say the same thing every friday.  Things like...Boy am I tired.  I didn't sleep much with seminary and all and the babies and yada yada yada.  When I took sophie to school this morning i had approx. 3 hours of sleep due to a combination of things.  so when i got back, i crashed in sophie's bed (penny was in my spot) and doug let me sleep until 10. 10!! i feel like a new lady.

Anyway, first things first!  Happy Bday to GRANDMA TERRIE!

I'm working off my newly resurrected computer so i have a whole host of old photos at my fingertips again.  This is at the hospital with Simon. Look at Penny!  I have a photo of grandma at the hosptial with every single one of my babies.  That makes me so happy.

WE LUH GPA!
(as simon would say.)

This week we had to take some medicine to sophie's school and the minute Penny saw the school she yelled, "POOOOOOLKALOTS. polkalots, mom!!" Like we had just walked into disneyland. (read: Polk-a-dots).  I could not figure out what she was looking at until i looked DOWN at the pavement in front of the school.

hahaha! thousands of chewed up, spit out, stepped on gum wads.  such an incredible sight!

Simon now tells you to "GO AWAY! when he's crying and is too mad to let you help. He also says that everything is "Not Fair, mama." Doesn't that sound just like a certain preschooler in our house?

Anyway... Doug is going to his 20 YEAR HIGH SCHOOL REUNION this weekend in Texas!
Yeehaw, he's old!  Cannot wait to see photos.

While he was in NY he went down to the 'Occupy Wall Street' event.  Came back with some great stories and some amazing photos. Click here to see them all!

Not that beautiful couch! I need that in my living room!

Not sure what this guy is protesting. (Doug's Fave)

My FAVE!

Have a great weekend!

  1. I need a "sleep 'til 10" day. When Wes is out of town, I somehow get an alarming lack of sleep. Does that sentence even make any sense? I am running on fumes here. I love that you came over and vegged at my house this week for a few hours. That needs to be a regular occurence...occurrence...occurance. How the crap do you spell that? It keeps giving me red squiggly spelling error lines. Fumes, I tell you. :)
