day off?

This morning came early. i was up late last night busy with cleaning and organizing the house and Doug is in NY for a quick trip.  So after taking Sophie to school and getting Owen out of the house to school, i decided that it was too much for me to get penny ready and lunched and all the way to MHS today.  so i called in for a mama's day off.  Which is totally ironic considering i will have both of them all day and it is now 9:10 and i can hear penny in the hallway yelling 'Mom, you didn't finish reading these letters. Mom, where are you? I want you to read all these letters to me from my school.  (louder) MOM, YOU FORGOT TO READ WHAT ALEX SAID, I'M WORRIED BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T READ ALEX'S AND YOU'RE NOT COMING BACK TO THE KITCHEN TO READ THESE LETTERS."
