update

Sophie
  • Sophie and her fellow Madrigals won 1st place and the musicianship award at their show choir competition this weekend.
  • seriously on the hunt for an awesome 8th grade graduation dress
  • headed to EFY at the beginning of June. (she turns 14 in may, look out stake dances!)
  • has her high school schedule all worked out. gulp!
Owen
  • has a new found love for beat box.
  • is DYING that we are selling our treadmill. he ran for 10 minutes on it today in prep for the 10 min run (no walking breaks) at school coming up. he was so proud that he did it and felt good that he now knows what it will be like. He told me to call the "lady back and tell her we changed our mind -- at all cost!" (very serious)
  • got star wars III this weekend. He's in love.
  • almost done with his Wolf in Cub Scouts. got to get it done by June!
  • needs a new book series. any suggestions?
Penny
  • lets just say she likes to cry/scream instead of talk right now. Most days i dread when she wakes up and can't wait until she falls asleep! wait. did that sound bad? oh, I didn't mean that. Let's just say (instead) that the hours on the either side of her day are REALLY peaceful.
  • Serious love/hate happening with penny and simon. lots of laughing and playing that turns into crying disasters most often.
  • She played the ukelele and sang some of her favorite songs tonight while we all danced. Standing up. And if we sat down she would yell, HEY SOPHIE, STAND UP and DANCE! NO, STAND UP!
  • Whilst looking for bugs under rocks today she saw a worm and yelled, "AHH! Mommy, It's a BIG SNAKE!
  • wants me to sit right next to her while she eats "pink cereal" or strawberry mini-wheats, then wraps her arm up around my arm and leans into my shoulder and says, "oh, i love you mom" then we look at our super colorful cupcake cookbook together. (see not all bad, haha)
Simon
  • He is a parrot. Copies anything that you tell him to. Sophie taught him, "i'm perplexed!
  • My favorite things he says is, what mama? with a big pause in the middle. Or Dada look! same big pause. he says everybody's name. Penny sounds more like dobby and Sophie more like Ouf-ee.
  • strawberry, ba-ba-ball, mote for remote. seriously, he'll give anything a whirl. Sophie was probably our only other baby to be so accomodating.
  • he is a happy, moppy haired, chubby not-so-baby boy.
What's up the rest of this week?

I'm getting my bottom fixed retainer on tomorrow. bye bye invisalign....on the bottom. still have 6 more weeks on top.

penny and simon are on their 2 week spring break so we need to get out into this gorgeous weather and play!

  1. Yes, it sounds like Clementine and Penny ARE the same child when it comes to their crying. I completely feel your pain.
