Nobody told this boy he could turn 1, and yet he did it anyway.

I call him Mr. Jolly - there isn't another word for it, he's just jolly and round and beautiful.

Always happy, always smiling. gives big sloppy kisses

He would roam around the backyard all day long if he could. very boy. climbs on this big dirt pile we have back there right now. He cruises around the garage looking at stuff and climbing over things. He likes to swing high now, too.

My favorite is at night before bed he sits in the lamp light of his room right in front of the nightstand and flips through every book on the shelf. over and over.

Lays down full belly in the sand and plays. Has a crazy fun laugh. Can do 'more' in sign language.

He absolutely adores Doug. More than any of the others at this age.

He and Penny were scuffling today and he turned around and BIT her. hahaha. wait, that's not funny?

How to describe his walk: little old man with arms/hands pulled up under his pits and his legs turned out a little. I bought him some converse high tops to match Owen's and i'm in love with them on his feet.

It is really special to have a baby

It really is. My favorite time of day is at night when i've put him in his crib, all bundled up and he's sleeping so soundly. I love going in to get Owen's pajamas and there's Simon, purring quitely, his binky having fallen out of his puckered mouth lies next to him. His lips are perfect, he is perfect because he is my baby. i pat him on his belly and feel the spirit so strong. he is a child of God and I am SO lucky to be caring for him on earth. he is special, so so special. I hope i never forget how i feel tonight. So very blessed. He's probably my last and i get a little sad thinking that 5 months has already flown by. Oh, he's so precious and amiable and jovial and perfect. My heart could burst tonight.

We are beyond grateful to have him in our family.
