This weekend we dropped everything and took off to Vegas. Doug left to go to Southern Utah for work and knowing i would go CRAZY as a single mom again, i pulled the kids out of school a little bit early and drove like a mad woman up the 15.
It was the smartest thing i've ever done. Despite the fact that my babies just don't sleep as well away from home and i ended up driving miss penny around the neighborhood TWICE one night to try and rock her to sleep, it was worth it. My parents bonded with Penny like never before, Owen bonded with my brothers kids like never before. it was great.
And now were back. Almost to May and the official end of my spending hiatus and to the end of school. I've been planning summer vacations, camps, swim lessons, etc.
