Doug and I got these vintage beauties from my Grandma in Salt Lake. He brought them back the last time he was up there, so we decided to get ourselves outfitted to go on a family bike ride in between sessions of conference.

Not sure these guys are lovin the little bike trailer yet.

She's had a bike for a while but was so happy to have the rest of us ride along with her.
getting ready... the weather was chilly so, of course, we dressed like it was snowing.
Tunin' up the rides.
Away we go!
Owen is adorable. The last bike he had is teeny tiny so he and doug went to sports authority and spent hours figuring out just the right bike for Owen.
It's weird living in a city. I didn't realize until that day that he doesn't REALLY know how to ride a bike. He was the kid that taught himself around age 5 by going outside, jumping on a bike and taking off. we seriously weren't involved that much. but then we moved and have been in major baby/life upheaval since then and this is the first time back to the bikes. he's almost 8!! time to get good on that thing, right?
So we cruised around the neighborhood and up a few blocks to the park. It was a great mid conference ride.
Now, what i really want to do is take them down to santa monica and ride along the beach. I've lived here almost 10 and i've never ridden on the beach bike path. Time to remedy that.
