Well, is it Friday yet? It's NOT? oh, Dang.

Doug gets home on Friday and it has been a very, very long week.

I got this photo from him this morning.

He's in New York doing a little unofficial pre-production on a possible thing we hope will go this summer.

You know how it is with possible things (especially features). Actually, there are all kinds of things you could say about them.

like:

I'll believe it when i see it.
I'll believe it when the money hits our bank account
I'll believe it when your bags are packed and i'm dropping you off at the airport
Don't hold your breath.
When pigs fly

This one appears to have more potential than any others of recent memory, so i say we be optimistic, shall we?

Here he's working through the script with the director. Unless we go have lunch on set, i don't get to see him working much so this makes me happy. Thanks, Mr. Director, for documenting this seemingly banal moment. I simply love it.

{And I wish I were there with you. I'm a very helpful assistant, you know, especially with no kids. you could go work and i could sleep. wait, i mean, sleeeeeeeeeeeeep.}

  1. Man, you are supermom. He's gone a lot and you're gettin' it done with FOUR KIDS. I have had a tough time this week with mine, too. Not always feelin' the love. Maybe something is in the air? What are you up to tomorrow? Maybe we should play?
