The Report

Had to back date this just to get it in the 09 book.

OK! We're back from our most marvelous Christmas vacation and it was exactly what i needed. I had blogger problems and couldn't update that doug did in fact return on the 21st, despite the threatening weather in NY, and we spent the next two days going shopping and packing up.

have any of you ever flown on a Virgin airline? We flew Virgin America and it was absoltutely pointless to pack things for the kids to do. they have video games and movies and on demand music and snacks and ichats between seats. crap! The kids were going crazy with excitement.

And then we got to my sisters house where i was totally taken care of. Grandma and Grandpa played with and snuggled Simon for me and Jami provided all the christmas magic for my kids. We ate TONS of yummy yums, watched movies and stayed up late and everyone helped take care of the kids, especially the cousins.

Zach and Owen played constantly. They were totally self-sufficient. Christmas Day at about 4pm we realized that they hadn't eaten anything but candy all day. candy from their stocking, all day. Kate and Sophie giggled and played games, did nails and had so much fun doing projects here and there. They put together the Christmas eve itinerary, complete with written out parts for the four kids, a piano recital, singing carols and hot chocolate before bedtime. they're awesome.

Penny became best friends with their dog, Scout. By the end of the trip penny was climbing on to her dog bed to show Scout different toys. She would put the phone to scout's ear so she could talk the phone, read scout books in her penny jabber. it was so cute. She's talking so much now and understanding even more.

Yes in Penny speak is NIGH or NEY. It was so funny, and the answer to everything!

Do you want to eat? -- NIGH
Take a bath?--NIGH
Do you want ice cream?-- NEY {still yes}

And now for the humongous stream of photos. {cuz we only took about 500}

oh, and Simon rolled over. very big boy.

ok. So they're coming soon. i forgot they're on Doug's computer.

  2. Yes we flew Virgin America. Right when we got on I said, "this is Pinkberry the airline". With the modern decor, music pumping, and neon pink lights. All I needed with a pinkberry with mochis and I'd be set. I'm glad you guys had fun, and you had the rest you so deserved. I will call you this week.
