What Say You?

Today was the kind of day where i let penny stand on the table and eat goldfish and then let her spread half the box all over table and did not do anything about it. she had fun.

it was the kind of day where i fell asleep for a nap with halloween candy wrappers wedged under my pillow. (despite great progress on the nazi diet so far and ironically as i fit into an old pair of jeans this morning. oh, self-sabotage, how i loathe you!)

it was the kind of day that requires deep breathing as the boy with so very many stories tells one after another all afternoon.

it was the kind of day i wished i had absorbed a little more of my college psychology classes. Especially the pre-teen sections.

It was the kind of day that required dinner at a pizza place. {actually, i love this photo and dinner was a bright spot.}

It was the kind of day where i let Penny and Owen play in the bath for 40 minutes while i zoned out to the Dancing with the Stars reveal show from last night.

Today was the kind of day I'm happy to say goodnight to.

Here's to a better tomorrow. Anyone up for a mani/pedi? I think i need one about now.

  2. Penny looks SO BIG next to Simon.

    I think this picture you posted tells it all. Yes, you have your hands full. But you have a very loving, present and supportive husband. You arent going this alone. You are a lucky woman to have such a wonderful partner who is willing to be your helpmate. (Didnt you say the other day he wants MORE?)

    You are an amazing mama.

  4. At least we're all in the same boat. That's somewhat reassuring right? Knowing that we all have days like that. haha. You have beautiful kids though.

  6. Oh I think you deserve the chocolate since you fit into your old jeans. Whenever you go a size down just treat yourself a little, I say. :) YES to the mani/pedi or any sort of girlie thing you wanna do. Even if it's just us since it's hard to get everyone together. I'm sure you know how much I need it as well.

    We aren't doing anything tomorrow afternoon/evening. if you want I can bring the kids over to play? Or we can meet at the mall again and attempt to try on clothes. :)

    And yeah - you have the best looking family EVER.
