The Chamberlain Family Historical Society: more

This year is flying by!! How is this possible? I keep thinking I'll jump on and update the blog and then never do. But we are hitting some pretty major milestones so I think its time. School is almost over. Sophie is graduating in 10 weeks, owen is playing in two guitar schools and making his way through 7th grade. Sophie is in dance and simon just started baseball. tuesdays are hilarious and riduculous with pick ups and drop off. but thats the only crazy day. 1:30 pick up simon 2:00 pick up penny 2:15 pick up owen, ethan and caden. drop the boys at their houses, drop owen and simon at home and take penny to dance across town by 3:30. Simon has baseball in toluca lake at 4:30 then we drive back across town to pick up penny by 5:45. home by 6:15 then owen has guitar at 7. pick him up at 7:30. it's a crazy day. but the rest are just one a day type things so we manage well enough.

Sophie also was accepted to BYU HAWAII for the fall semester! It's a crazy freaking miracle because so few people are admitted from the continental US. and all i can say is it was really dang stressful!! which classes are the right ones, is your GPA high enough are your test scores high enough did we miss any deadlines, why is it taking so long to hear back???????????? it was a major, major endeavor and i truly can't believe anyone goes to college after high school because it's so hard. hahaha PHEW!! So we are trying to make plans to get her there for aug. 3 when classes start. so EARLY!

also a funny penny story. you all know how crazy penny can be? she was crying and freaking out one day because sophie and a friend over one day and they wanted to watch a show on the living room TV and so did Penny. she was acting like a lunatic demanding that sophie and her friend give up the TV and finally I was like, penny, you have to figure out how to get what you want and help other people get what the want too. it's called WIN WIN. how can you help everyone be happy and you still be happy too?? and without skipping a beat she said, "sophie and caitlyn can just watch in your room and i'll watch out here!" and we were like hmmmm, yes that totally works, great job problem solving this dilemma. hahaha WHY DIDN'T WE START THIS YEARS AGO???
