let's talk about target

Seriously, we need to discuss what is happening at Target in the shoe department.  Particularly with Mossimo.  They are rocking the shoe design! after crap night sunday and crap morning on monday, i went to Target to get sophie a sports bag. (just in time for volleyball to end in 3 weeks. oh well.) Simon and i just strolled down the shoe isles and discovered qutie a few gems. when i say strolled, i mean i wrestled and wrangled while he ran away, of course.  but after retrieving some trail mix from the food dept, he sat quietly in the cart so i could browse.  and browse i did.  all of these are around 30 dollars so the materials may be cheap but the design and cut of these shoes are spot on if you ask me.

I was wearing these from Gap and for some reason everything looked awesome with them.  I shall wear them daily.

I know these look totally marmsy in the photo, but with skinny pants, they looked crazy good!  i have 2 wedges so i didn't buy today, but i don't have any closed toe wedges, so i'll have to rethink, maybe.  super comfy too.

Fun, just super fun and cute and would look great with pants or skirts. very comfy

and i LOVED these.  I don't own anything like them.  Have never been a fan of the scrunchy toe but with skinnies these were so surprisingly cute.  great heel and toe.  super great shape.  loved them.  somebody plesase go buy these and then rock them at a girls night or something.

these look more plastic-y in the photo than in real life. but if you're in the market for some inexpensive black riding boots, you can't go wrong with these. 40 bucks.

So then i got on the Target website to find photos of the above mentioned shoes and discovered target.com has so many awesome shoes. even a genuine leather boot section in case you want to spend a little more.

plus, look at these cuties.
Cheetah platform Pumps!?! Yes, please. Would look killer with your black pencil skirt.  30 bucks.
A-Dorbes! Great going out shoe.  Would make the same dumb outfit i wear so much cooler. 30 bucks

Somewhere in between the taupe shooties and the stacked heel boots, this happened.

After cleaning them all up and putting them back into the bag (we still had to buy them) Simon stuck his hand back in the bag and kept eating. And NO, i didn't stop him.  I figured what is a little early morning Target carpet hair after i found him drinking toilet water with a cupped hand in the black bathroom yesterday morning.

On the way home at like 10:30 am this happened.

Then he slept for 3 hours which is exactly the moment my day perked up. haha.

Just kidding it wasnt all bad.  Tonight I laid down with him practically nose to nose while he fell asleep and in just inhaled his still-sweet baby breath.  (when does that end?  when do they all stinky? i can't really remember anymore but hes not there yet) His deep breathing, his quiet face.  magical. So the day ended well.

Anyway, thank you, Target, for the pick me up.

I keep reminding myself we head back into feature mode in less than 2 months. I will be glad I didn't spaz out and buy all of them come January 9th, a possible start date which can totally bump, i kinda hope it does.  we shall see.

p.s. Doug gets back from NYC this afternoon. Hallelujah. AND he got to see CJ and Jessica!! they were there seperatly but at the exact same time.  very jealous.

p.p.s  I read that VERSACE is doing a line for H&M that comes out NOV 14 or something.  That should be interesting!

  4. Nicely done target. I'm going to wait approximately 3 months and buy them all for 7.98. Just kidding, but those are some great prices. I think I might need your pants from Gap (post baby of course) and those wedges, so versatile!

  5. Ohhhhh emily. I read this after Cutter peed his pants for the second time today on the 6th day that Jeremy is out of town right after I cried my eyes out and put him to bed without a story or a kiss. I think I will go climb into his bed and breathe his breath. thanks for the tip. xoxo

  6. Kelly! 6 days? how long is he gone? Ugh, i really is so hard to do it all yourself and bedtime is the worst. I swear sometimes my kids go to bed at like 9 or 9:30 because i just can't get the momentum to make it happen. Hang in there, girl! youre a rockstar!
