I can't leave the babies sleeping at home (with Owen, of course) while i go pick up sophie all the way UP the hill at the church and then back DOWN the hill to the school that is, like, 2 minutes from our house, can I?
Oh, i really wanted to this morning! But i didn't. I killed me to wake them up from their dark, warm beds. ugh.
So now they've all been up since 6:25.
Wish me luck today.
Although, I was reminded at the seminary orientation that sacrifice brings blessings. And I believe that. I complain about the early mornings but seminary is a pretty important part of sophie's day. And because highschool is a scary new part of our lives we need all the influences of good we can get!
So, i'm choosing to feel lucky that Alli's dad takes them at 5:40. Otherwise, there we'd be... a mom and her 3 babies kicking it the church for an hour before the sun comes up.
Ya, that is DEFINITELY worse.
(he didn't like that i was taking pictures. too early, i guess.)
This is only when doug is gone. Umm, let's pretend he's not gone all the time, shall we?
p.s. If there are any of you out there wondering what I'm talking about, Seminary is an early morning scripture study class for Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors. You study a different book of scripture every year. Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon and the Docterine and Covenants. This year is the Old Testament.
Doug and I both went when we were in high school and I can't believe it's Sophie's turn. I really can't.

ReplyDeleteis 45 minutes round trip considered a quick trip?? if so, then i'm down. Luckily it's only a few days a month. until a feature comes around, i guess. Yikes!
ReplyDeleteOh, I am hurting for you having to wake those babies up that early in the morning. I hate waking mine from naps. It's painful for sure. But yes, you will receive blessings. Hopefully in the form of "Best Behaved Children of the year award!"
ReplyDeleteYou are such a good Mama Em! I would TOTALLY leave my kiddos asleep, but I'm not a great Mom. Ha!
