love love

Two things to share today.

This image that is on the front cover of the New Era and lds.org. Look at that baby face. So real. So perfect. I love it.

This one is too teeny to even see. You have to Click here to get the full effect. It is the first image in the series.

And then the other is TRACY ANDERSON. She is fitness guru to Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna originally and now everybody wants to train with her. Celebs and normal people just like me. She is all about dance cardio (that i never do) and mat workouts (that i am in LOVE with.)

Normally, i am a strictly pilates girl. I believe in it whole-heartedly. And then i bought the post-pregnancy mat workout video and it kinda blew pilates open wide for me. I haven't gone back.

The absolute best part of Tracy Anderson is that she is posting webisodes all over you tube. or other people are posting. either way it's free for everyone. A million combinations. Arms, butt and thigh, dance cardio segments, abs. everything. and her routines are constantly changing so anything you click will have something new. it's so fresh all the time. so now, instead of my 1 hour video, i do 3 you tube segments (whenever and wherever i want, because i can pull it up on my phone. no searching for DVD's!)

i know i'm starting to sound like an infomercial. but i swear it works. The links below are my favorite.

Arms (see, they love her in russia too.)

Seriously, do this workout just once on both sides and tell me you don't feel five pounds skinnier.

I usually do the abs from the video. i have memorized them, but you could search 'tracy anderson abs' on you tube.

And then i just got this link in my email. it is for one of her biggest facebook fans who swears he can not do any of the dance cardio routines. (some of them are pretty crazy) so she posted simplified dance cardio routines. I am tackling this next. It is in two parts.

So, there you go. Ignore the fact she kinda looks like a stripper and have fun.

  2. I will try hers.... my thing is I can do these kinds of work outs at home occasionally but I feel like my butt is ALWAYS kicked way harder in class. That's why for me it's worth it to pay a little more for class - I get more results. I need the people around and the trainer/teacher not letting me get away with anything. But -- having said that, I will give it a try. Especially if we are in a house in the next year and my pilates budget is tiny.

  3. Class is always better, but these exercises are so effective and she's all about the tiny. no bulk. I wish it was affordable to take classes in her studio. that would be RAD. for now, this is totally working for me. I hope you like it...even if to just use every once in a while.
