For Doug's Mom

because i know she hasn't talked to him in about a month and she loves seeing what doug is up to. Oh, Doug made it back home by the way, on New Year's Eve. The kids hadn't seen him in 4 weeks, including Christmas day, because he was stuck in a blizzard in NY. Not that we planned on him coming home anyway, but still... it was too long. But we made it. The first 5 photos i swiped from the director's facebook page. They are really great photos! His name is carter and he is so very cool. so hopefully he won't mind?

The last few i took and they look terrible. not sure why because i actually kind of know how to use my camera but i felt so rusty or something. i only ever use hipstamatic on my iphone anymore. oh well, at least you can get an idea of what was happening on the set of maladies.

very cold doug
Clint! we love Clint. Doug really needed Clint. But he missed Christmas with his new baby because of Doug. I think we love Yvonne more because she is still our friend.... I hope??

sweet photo of the franc.

Two camera set up
A-camera operator, Bradford. He is one of our guys, too. We love bradford.
B-Camera operator, Christina is a new friend. She and doug worked really well together.
pointing to something awesome over there.
Video Village. This is where i hung out. Where we all get to watch the action on the monitors.

Looking relaxed. You'd never guess he was stressed out of his brain at this point. It was a tough shoot.
This is how he controlled both cameras. he sat here watching both screens and whispered into a mic wired to the camera operators and he'd tell them exactly where to move the cameras. Stuff like...

Pan left, up a little. follow catherine, hang back on james. give em more head room. great, great. love it.

there were about 8 other people hooked into this line and it seemed like a good time. they loved his work ethic (which is insane on set) as well as his one-liners that kept the mood positive.

My one photo. (and we kinda look middle aged! haha) i loved going to set, though. i never get to do it here in LA. Not that i didn't already know this but Doug is a true professional. we've been here 10 years next month and it shows. he is so good at what he does. really made me proud. even better, everyone i met lit up when i told them i was Doug's wife.

"Oh really? We LOVE doug!" And i believed them.

Now, everyone cross you fingers that the movie turns out awesome. i have a feeling it will.
