FINALLY, ADAM'S HOUSE.
  • went for 12 year old Max's birthday and priesthood ordination
  • surprisingly a lot of outdoor play considering it was 105 in the desert.
  • fabulous after church spread by mequell, her mom and featuring fresh and easy red potato salad. yum. (*see funny story below)
  • more cousin fun. (how generic, can you tell it's 2:30 am and i need to sleep?)
  • insert more details later.
  • oh, and the super fun water park. mini hurricane harbor with a lazy river, slides and everything all for 2 dollar entrance fee.

cute Adam and Mequell
twinzies

  • this picture proves i was there. it was taken the last day and i look tired. oh, i was so tired.
  • clingy babies, sleepless babies, very very active babies pulling mama's single baby hairs underneath. . crap that hurts. babies fallling down all over the place, crawling everywhere, wiggling out of restaurant high chairs, eating everything on the floor. babies with stinky diapers, leaky diapers, leaky bottles (but bottles none the less, yahoo!)
  • babies hitting cousins, pushing cousins, screaming at cousins, grabbing everything, painting nails without permission, crying, crying, crying.
  • family is worth it. everytime.
AND THEN WE WERE ON OUR WAY BACK HOME

  • but not before we encountered a majorly scary stop at walmart. a story i'll have to tell another time.

**Owen and the chicken:
mequell made some BBQ chicken with a really delicious rub on the outside. had cayenne and a bunch of other spices all over it and BBQ'd it til it was crusty and so so yummy. Owen, who counts chicken as a go-to item , apparenlty took a big ole bite. when i saw him he was standing at the garbage, gagging and spitting and scraping his tongue with his fingers and spitting and gagging and scraping his tongue with a napkin. then he looked up at me and said with the most sincere look, "that chicken is disGUSting. oh, Owen.....

  1. This trip looks like you had so much fun. It is a lot of work vacationing with kids (babies). But is so worth the memories.

  6. I KNOW!! Mequell, you're talking about Owen right. I was so embarrassed and most everyone was engaged in conversation so i didn't make a big deal of it.

for the record, it was the best afterparty meal i've ever had. seriously, so so good.
