nothing really

Well, hope you all had a super romantical Valentine's Day. Not sure why I said that.. are Valentine's Days ever really romantic? Not around our house. It was decidedly less exciting than last year but lovely all the same. Balloons for the kids, waffles with strawberries and yummy fresh whipped cream, Doug at bishopric meetings.

Had to mention the fresh because i NEVER do anything fresh. Just forgot the squirty kind at the store on Satuday night.

Anyway, kids are off for president's day and out to friends houses. Sounds like we're headed to Olivera street for some taquitos!

Speaking of delicious Mexican food...we went to our friends baby blessing yesterday in Pasadena and afterward they had carnitas tacos and super authentic pinto beans and rice and super duper homemade salsa. (My mom is a salsa expert. I'm going to have to this send recipe her way.)

It was so good, and the best compliment i could come up with was that i wished that i didn't have to talk to anyone and could just sit down and stuff my face until my belly could hold no more.

It was taco truck good. for reals.
